# AccuKnox Launches AgentZ for Enterprise AI Agent Governance

> AccuKnox has launched AgentZ, a platform aimed at the unglamorous but increasingly urgent job of governing AI agents once companies actually deploy them. It is model-agnostic, working with OpenAI, Claude, Grok and others so teams are not locked into one provider, and it ships with sandboxed execution, workflow graphs, audit logs, role-based access and runtime credential injection. There is a free tier and the source code is on GitHub, with deployment options spanning SaaS, on-premises and air-gapped setups. The pitch behind it is a sharp one: the hard part of agentic AI is not building an agent, it is deciding what that agent is allowed to touch. As autonomous systems start sending emails, moving files and calling APIs on their own, the questions of permissions, identity and accountability move to the center. AgentZ is part of a growing category of tooling that treats agents less like clever demos and more like software that needs the same guardrails as any other privileged system.
