# AI Achieves 94% Accuracy in Medical Diagnostics

> A new State of AI in Medicine report from Doximity puts some striking numbers on how far diagnostic models have come. It cites AI systems reaching 94 percent accuracy on tasks like detecting breast cancer and heart failure, and finds that multi-agent frameworks, where several specialized models collaborate, deliver accuracy gains of anywhere from 7 percent to more than 60 percent over a single model working alone. Just as telling is how doctors feel about it. Ninety-four percent of surveyed physicians say they are already using AI or want to, and many report spending up to 83 percent less time writing clinical notes thanks to automated drafting. In radiology, triage systems are quietly sorting scans by urgency so the most critical cases reach a human first. None of this replaces a clinician, but it does sketch a near future where AI handles the paperwork and the first pass, freeing doctors to focus on judgment and patients. The caveat, as always, is that survey enthusiasm and controlled accuracy figures are not the same as messy real-world performance.
