# AIR Closes $50 Million in Funding for AI Agent Security Platform

> As companies wire autonomous agents into real workflows, a new question is who checks what those agents are allowed to plug into. AIR just raised 50 million dollars, split across two seed rounds led by Sequoia and Greenoaks, to sell exactly that: a platform that finds the agents running inside an organization, inspects the skills and add-ons they call, and blocks the risky ones. The company says its system flags roughly a quarter of the online tools agents might reach for as potentially unsafe, maintaining a vetted whitelist instead. Early traction skews toward regulated industries, with more than 20 customers and the strongest demand coming from financial services and pharma, sectors that cannot afford an agent quietly connecting to something it should not. It is a telling sign of where the market is heading. The first wave of agent hype was about capability; this round is a bet that the next wave is about control, governance, and not getting burned by an over-eager assistant.
