# AWS launches Amazon Connect agentic AI solutions for healthcare, hiring, supply chain

> At its New York summit, AWS expanded Amazon Connect, its cloud contact-center platform, with four new agentic AI offerings aimed at supply chain, hiring, customer experience, and healthcare. The idea is to move past chatbots that answer questions toward agents that actually carry out multi-step tasks inside a business. The healthcare piece is the most concrete. Amazon Connect Health is pitched to handle patient verification, appointment management, patient insights, ambient documentation, and even medical coding, chores that eat enormous amounts of staff time in clinics and hospitals. The other verticals follow the same logic of taking a repetitive operational workflow and handing it to software that can work end to end rather than one prompt at a time. The features are launching in limited preview, which is the usual signal that this is early and unevenly baked. Still, the direction is telling. The most valuable AI deployments increasingly look less like a clever assistant and more like plumbing wired directly into the boring, high-volume processes that keep industries running.
