# Oak raises $60M to fix identity management for AI agents

> Oak, an Israeli security startup, has stepped out of stealth with 60 million dollars in seed funding, an unusually large first round, co-led by Accel, CRV, and Greylock Partners. Its target is a problem that has quietly grown alongside the agent boom: identity and access management for AI agents, which increasingly act inside company systems with credentials and permissions of their own. The pitch is that traditional identity tools were built for humans and static software, not for autonomous agents that spin up, act, and disappear. Oak's platform maps what access an agent actually uses against what it has been granted, and revokes unneeded permissions in real time, shrinking the attack surface these agents create. The company says the product is already generally available with paying enterprise customers. Its pedigree is part of the sell. Co-founder Shai Morag previously built and sold Secdo to Palo Alto Networks and led Ermetic to a 265 million dollar acquisition by Tenable.
