# Roblox launches AI-powered game creation from text prompts in mobile app

> Roblox is putting game creation behind a text box. Its new Build feature, now live in the mobile app, lets anyone describe a game in plain language, something like a cozy adventure set in a dense forest, and have the AI assemble the gameplay mechanics, environment, characters, visual style and sound automatically. No coding, no desktop editor, no prior experience required. What makes this interesting is less the novelty and more the distribution. Roblox already has an enormous base of young creators, and lowering the barrier from learning a scripting language to typing a sentence could flood the platform with new games. The company is leaning on its usual ranking system, sorting creations by how well they retain players, to keep the good stuff visible as volume climbs. The open question is quality and originality. Prompt-to-game tools tend to produce competent but samey results, and Roblox will have to work out how creators stand out when everyone starts from the same blank prompt. Still, as a preview of where user-generated content is heading, an entire game from one sentence on a phone is a genuine shift.
