# Roblox Launches AI-Powered Game Creation Tool for Mobile Creators

> Roblox is putting text-to-game generation directly into its mobile app. A new feature called Build lets anyone describe a game in plain language and get back a playable result, with the AI handling gameplay, environments, characters, visuals and sound. Trained on 3D models and gaming-specific data, it targets the platform's 132 million daily active users, many of whom have never written a line of code. The rollout is deliberately cautious. A public alpha opens July 28 in New Zealand for ages 9 and up, while only creators 16 and older will be able to publish globally. Roblox is also leaning on a discovery system tuned to surface high-retention games, an admission that flooding the platform with low-quality AI output is the obvious risk. The bigger story is what happens when the barrier to making a game drops to a sentence. Roblox already runs on user-generated content, and handing millions of kids a game engine that responds to prose could either unleash a wave of creativity or bury the good stuff under noise.
