# Samsung LPDDR5X-PIM Delivers 3x Faster AI Inference with Embedded Processing

> Samsung used the Hot Chips conference on August 25 to show off LPDDR5X-PIM, a memory chip that stuffs small logic units directly inside the DRAM instead of shuttling every calculation out to a separate processor.
