# Stripe Acquires OpenRouter for $7B+, Model Routing Becomes Infrastructure

OpenRouter runs a gateway that lets developers reach and switch between more than 400 large language models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and others through a single interface, becoming a kind of universal adapter for the model layer.
